The 200 Club Legacy of Service Series Continues with 2013 Acts of Valor Awards Ceremony to Honor First Responders on February 27

WHO: The 200 Club of the Coastal Empire, a local non-profit providing immediate financial assistance to families of first responders who lost their lives in the line of duty.

WHAT: Legacy of Service Series – 2013 Acts of Valor Awards. The 200 Club is proud to honor specially selected first-responders who while in the line of duty performed an exceptional meritorious act that may have may resulted in their death or serious injury. All nominations were endorsed by the chief law enforcement officer, fire chief or head of the nominee’s agency from all 20 counties supported by The 200 Club of the Coastal Empire. The 200 Club will honor the winners in a special ceremony and award each winner with a medal of valor, the only civilian declaration that first responders can wear on their uniform. Guests will also enjoy a special appearance by Nashville recording artist and country music singer Jared Wade. The 2013 Acts of Valor Awards is part of The 200 Club’s 2013 Legacy of Service Series, which also include the following fundraiser events throughout the year:

  • The Savannah Mile (May)
  • The Memorial Golf Tournament and Silent Auction (September)
  • The Shields for Fallen Heroes Campaign (October) WHEN: Wednesday, February 27, 2013 5:30 p.m.

About the 200 Club of Coastal Empire

The principal objective of The 200 Club is to provide immediate financial assistance to the surviving spouse and children of local law enforcement officers and firefighters who lose their lives in the line-of-duty while protecting their communities.The Two Hundred Club of the Coastal Empire was incorporated on October 16, 2000 as a Georgia nonprofit charitable organization 501(c)(3). The board consists of members of the business, law enforcement, judicial, professional, religious and academic communities. The Two Hundred Club is a significant vehicle for expressing community gratitude to the families of our fallen heroes.
