The 8th Annual Savannah Mile

Memorial Day Weekend – Saturday, May 24, 2014 the 8th Annual Savannah Mile will be run in the Historic District of Savannah. The course covers one mile straight down Drayton Street, starting at the south end of Forsyth Park and finishing on Broughton Street. All runners are welcome to participate, from the very young still in strollers to the experienced runner. The Heroes Heat welcomes all First Responders and Military to enjoy complimentary entry.

All proceeds go to the 200 Club of the Coastal Empire to provide immediate financial assistance to the families of first responders who die in the line of duty.

Packet Pick-up – Friday, May 23, 2014 – 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Fleet Feet Sports 3405 Waters Avenue. AND Saturday, May 24, 2014 starting at 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. Forsyth Park

Military and First Responders have a complementary entrance to the Savannah Mile compliments of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Eckburg, Mr. and Mrs. John Kane, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Jepson, Jr.

Be the first branch of the Military or First Responder to take “The Flag” home to your command post.

Your name, and the year will be embroidered on the flag. The Flag will be kept for one year and needs to be defended the following year or to be turned over to the next year’s winner of the FULL GEAR * HEROES HEAT.
